National Mass for Altar Servers’ 2019

The National Mass for Altar Servers’ was held at Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral on Saturday 21st September.

This is the first time that the Mass has been held outside of Westminster.

A large gathering of Altar Servers from across the country attended the ceremony which was led by Archbishop Emeritus of Liverpool Patrick Kelly.

Archbishop Patrick gave an inspiring homily to the congregation which included an explanation of some of the remarkable aspects of the cathedral.

There was a strong representation from the Lancaster Diocese including four from our own parish.
