On Saturday 11th May 2019 a strong contingent of Altar Servers, both young and old, from across the Diocese attended Mass at St Peter’s Cathedral in Lancaster. Representatives from The Guild of St Stephen had also travelled from London to be in attendance.
Bishop Paul celebrated the Mass and reminded all the Altar Servers present of the importance of serving at the altar of the Lord.
Our Cottam contingent this year only consisted of the ‘slightly’ older members of the team.
However two of our group were singled out by Bishop Paul in his homily for their long service which exceeded 80 years.
